Abstract

The study aimed at identifying cyberbullying aspects prevalent among secondary school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It developed a suggested proposal to overcome it. The descriptive survey approach was used through a study instrument; a questionnaire administered to a sample of (384) male and female students from secondary school. The study concluded a number of results, including: those aspects of cyberbullying are high and widespread among secondary school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The aspects of emotional bullying came in the first place, followed by aspects of verbal bullying, followed by physical bullying aspects. The approval of the proposed suggestions put forward to overcome those high cyberbullying aspects. The study also found that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level of (0.01) in the questionnaire dimensions between males and females in favor of males. It found out that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level of (0.01) in the questionnaire dimensions and the total score among the three academic years in favor of the first secondary year, as well as the existence of differences between the different divisions in favor of the general one. A suggested proposal was developed to overcome the cyberbullying aspects among secondary school students and presenting some mechanisms through which cyberbullying aspects can be overcome among high school students.
