The level of mindfulness among students of the Department of Mathematics at Taif University and the relationship between their learning styles and a number of demographic variables

The target of this study is to determine the level of mental mindfulness among students of the mathematics department at Taif University and the relationship of their learning styles, whether the differences are statistically significant in the level of mental mindfulness through individuals study according to the variables of gender, academic grade, and academic year and user social networking degree sites. The samples consisted of 334 male and female students, and to achieve the objectives of the research, a descriptive approach, collecting data and the mental alertness scale were used in light of Langer’s theory, in which by Abdulmutallab and Khariba (2020), and the Biggs et al. learning styles scale (Biggs, et al., 2001).The study found that the level of mental mindfulness among the individuals is low. Also, there can be a statistically significant correlation within mental alertness and learning styles, and no statistically significant differences attributed to gender. Also, the study showed that statistically significant differences depend on academic grade, academic year and degree usage of social networking sites. In light of the results, the author recommended the education of the university community is necessary and important for mental mindfulness and the factors affecting it. It provides staff members with the means for their development under guidance programs through student instruction and there has also been presented in this regard
