An Evaluation of Scorecard based on the Dimensions of Balanced Performance (BSC): A Comparative Study Between Shaqra University and Majma’ah University

Abstract

The study aims to investigate the actual use of the University of Shaqra and Majmaah University for the Balanced Scorecard with its four dimensions: financial dimension, clients’ dimension, internal processes dimension, and learning and growth dimension, as well as to recognize the statistically significant differences of the study variables: educational experience, and gender. In order to achieve these goals, the researcher used a questionnaire as a tool for the study adopting the descriptive analytical method. The study population included a number of faculty members from both Majmaah University (2163), and from Shaqra University (1691). The study sample has been selected randomly, consisting of (730) members, of which (336) members from Majmaah University and (394) from Shaqra University. The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences among the responses of the study sample according to the university variables; the differences were in favor of Majmaah University. Also, the results revealed that there were variables due to the differences in years of experience, in favor of 5-10 years range, and differences in gender variables, in favor of males.
