Abstract

The research aims to activate the role of talented elementary stage pupils’ education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by benefitting from the experience of the United States of America. The researcher adopted the comparative descriptive approach, by identifying the aspects of similarity and discrepancy between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America in terms of the talented elementary stage pupils’ education. The research has reached some findings including that the philosophy of the United States of America is similar to the philosophy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concerning the importance of discovering talented pupils. However, it differs from it in that the philosophy of the United States focuses on the talented in the early years of their age starting from the kindergarten stage, while the talented care programs start from the fourth grade in the Kingdom. Moreover, the two countries are similar concerning the objective of talented elementary stage pupils’ education and the nature of the talented pupil. While both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States are different in terms of the type of educational programs that are provided to the talented pupils.
